Website Design Cost in Hong Kong (2026)
Short answer: Hong Kong agencies that publish packages start at HK$3,800 to HK$6,888 for a templated site of 5 to 10 pages. Hong Kong agency price guides put template corporate sites at HK$8,000 to HK$30,000, custom corporate sites at HK$30,000 to HK$80,000 or more, and e-commerce at HK$35,000 to HK$150,000 or more. The spread comes from pages, custom design, languages and integrations.

How much does a website cost in Hong Kong?
Four Hong Kong agencies publish price guides on their own sites. Their ranges, in HKD:
| Site type | Wavenex, 22 Apr 2026 | YSD, 18 Aug 2026 | isualsense, 3 May 2026 | HKINT, 24 Jun 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Landing page | Not stated | 3,000 to 15,000 | Not stated | Not stated |
| Entry or template site | 8,000 to 18,000 | 8,000 to 30,000 | 2,000 to 8,000 (1 to 5 pages) | 8,000 to 25,000 |
| Standard SME site | 18,000 to 35,000 | Within the above | 10,000 to 25,000 (10 to 15 pages) | 25,000 to 60,000 |
| Custom corporate | 35,000 to 80,000+ | 30,000 to 80,000+ | 30,000 to 80,000 (15 to 30 pages) | 60,000+ |
| E-commerce | 80,000+ with integrations | 35,000 to 150,000+ | 100,000 to 300,000+ | Not stated |
The guides agree on the shape: about HK$8,000 to HK$30,000 for a template site, HK$30,000 to HK$80,000 for custom. They are guides, not quotes, and each agency sells services at the prices it does not print.
What do Hong Kong agencies publish as starting prices?
Fewer agencies print package prices than print guides. These do.
| Agency | Package | Price | What the page states |
|---|---|---|---|
| B2A.HK | Company website | HK$3,800 | Single language, CMS, enquiry form, 5 days |
| B2A.HK | International website | HK$4,800 | Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese and English, CMS, enquiry form |
| B2A.HK | Online shop | HK$8,800 | Cart, online payment, member database |
| Zitelaunch | Quick Launch | HK$3,888 | 5 pages, 5 days |
| Zitelaunch | Professional Website | HK$6,888 | 10 pages, 7 to 10 days |
| Zitelaunch | Ecommerce | HK$8,888 | 200 products, 10 to 14 days |
| Connet | Subscription | HK$0 upfront, HK$300 to HK$800 a month | 1 to 2 weeks; pay for hosting and maintenance only |
The pattern matches Singapore. Published packages sit at the template end. Custom work is quoted after a call.

How do Hong Kong and Singapore prices compare?
| Tier | Hong Kong, published | Singapore, published | Hong Kong in SGD, estimate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Entry package | HK$3,800 to HK$6,888 | S$699 to S$1,999 | S$620 to S$1,120 |
| Small business site | HK$8,000 to HK$30,000 | S$2,500 to S$5,000 | S$1,300 to S$4,900 |
| Custom corporate | HK$30,000 to HK$80,000+ | S$6,000 to S$35,000 | S$4,900 to S$13,000+ |
| E-commerce | HK$35,000 to HK$150,000+ | S$5,000 to S$50,000 | S$5,700 to S$24,500+ |
Singapore figures are from the sources in website design cost in Singapore. Two observations:
- Entry packages are cheaper in Hong Kong once converted, and faster: 5 days is a common published delivery time.
- Custom corporate ranges overlap. The top of the Singapore range is higher than the top of the Hong Kong guides, partly because the Singapore guide covers 10 to 30 pages.
The same cost drivers apply in both cities: page count, custom or template design, who writes the copy, integrations, edit rounds and languages. Hong Kong adds one more often than Singapore does: three language versions in Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese and English, which is close to three sites' worth of copy.
Which running costs apply after launch?
Published Hong Kong figures, per year unless stated:
| Item | YSD | HKINT | isualsense |
|---|---|---|---|
| Domain | HK$100 to HK$300 | HK$100 to HK$500 | HK$150 to HK$800 |
| Hosting | HK$1,000 to HK$6,000 | Hundreds to thousands | HK$800 to HK$8,000+ |
| SSL certificate | HK$0 to HK$1,500 | HK$500 to HK$2,000 | Not stated |
| Maintenance | HK$3,000 to HK$20,000 | HK$3,000 to HK$12,000 | HK$3,000 to HK$30,000+ |
| Plugins and subscriptions | HK$1,000 to HK$10,000+ | Not stated | Not stated |
Payment fees for a store: Stripe Hong Kong publishes 3.4% + HK$2.35 per successful domestic card payment and 2.2% + HK$2.00 for Alipay and WeChat Pay, with no monthly fee on standard pricing.
Estimate for a HK$3,888 package over 3 years, taking the low end of each guide: about HK$3,888 plus HK$4,100 a year in domain, hosting and maintenance, so HK$16,200 in total. The build was 24% of it.
What does the PDPO mean for a website form?
The Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance applies to any form that collects a name, phone number or email. The six Data Protection Principles published by the PCPD set the duties. For a website, four matter most.
- DPP1, collection. Collect only what is necessary, and take all practicable steps to tell the person the purpose of collection and the classes of people the data may be transferred to, on or before collection. On a form, that is a short notice next to the submit button and a linked privacy statement.
- DPP2, retention. Keep the data accurate and no longer than needed for the purpose. Decide a retention period for enquiries and delete on schedule.
- DPP4, security. Take all practicable steps to protect the data from unauthorised or accidental access, loss or use. HTTPS, access control on the database and a contract with any processor that stores the data.
- DPP6, access and correction. People can ask to see and correct their data. You need to know where every enquiry is stored to answer.
If a third-party form tool stores the submissions, that tool is a data processor and DPP4 asks you to bind it by contract. A form that writes to your own database keeps the duty in one place.
How do I compare quotes from Hong Kong agencies?
Put each quote in one table with the same rows.
- Pages included and the price per extra page.
- Custom design or a theme, named.
- Languages included: Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English.
- Who writes the copy and supplies photos.
- Edit rounds included.
- Days or weeks to a first draft, and to launch.
- Domain, hosting, SSL and email after year one, with the renewal price.
- Maintenance: hourly rate or monthly fee, and what it covers.
- Who owns the domain, the code and the enquiry data.
- Redirects for existing URLs if you have a site already.
Two of the Hong Kong guides make the same point in their own words: renewal fees and functional limits, not the package price, are where budgets overrun. Compare the 3-year total.
