EDGE Grant for Websites and Digital Marketing (2026 Guide)

Updated 16 October 2026

Short answer: the EDGE grant does not pay for building a website. No EDGE activity funds website development, and the International Branding activity names it as a non-supported cost. What EDGE does fund for online growth is software: digital marketing tools and e-commerce shop platforms from listed vendors, up to set caps.

Checked against Enterprise Singapore's pages on 16 October 2026. EDGE launched on 30 September 2026 and its pages are still changing, so check the activity page before you apply.

What did EDGE replace?

The Enterprise Development Grant (EDG), Market Readiness Assistance (MRA) and Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) stopped taking new applications on 29 September 2026. From 30 September 2026, companies apply under the Enterprise Development Grant Extended, EDGE. Articles that still describe PSG support for websites are out of date.

Who is eligible?

  • Registered in Singapore.
  • At least 30% shareholding by Singaporeans or Singapore permanent residents.
  • An SME is a group with annual sales turnover of not more than S$100 million, or no more than 200 workers. Larger companies can apply at lower support levels.
  • Some activities, including Digital Marketing, exclude home-based businesses.

What does that mean for a new website?

  • A custom website build is paid by the company. It is not an EDGE cost.
  • A marketing or e-commerce software subscription from a listed vendor may qualify under the activities above.
  • A rebrand for overseas markets may qualify under International Branding, but the website that carries the brand does not.

How do you apply for EDGE?

  1. Get a quotation from the vendor. Do not start work or pay a deposit yet.
  2. Apply on the Business Grants Portal, signed in with Corppass using the Preparer or Acceptor role. The company applies itself; vendors cannot submit for you.
  3. Wait for the outcome. Payments made after the submission date may be supported if the application is approved.
  4. Complete the work, then submit a single and final claim. Claims open on 1 November 2026 for digital solutions and 1 December 2026 for other activities.
  5. Payout follows claim approval: about 14 working days by PayNow, up to eight weeks by GIRO, according to the Digital Marketing activity page.

Suppliers must not be related to the company, and the vendor cannot be changed after approval.

Why do grant figures differ between websites?

Enterprise Singapore's own pages differ. The EDGE landing page says "up to 70% for SMEs and up to 50% for non-SMEs". The EDGE FAQ says "up to 50% support for SMEs and up to 30% support for non-SMEs (up to 70% support for internationalisation and sustainability activities for SMEs and up to 50% support for non-SMEs)". Each activity page states the level that applies to it. Use the activity page.
