Cheap Website Design in Singapore: What S$500 to S$1,500 Buys
Short answer: in Singapore, S$699 to S$1,999 buys a templated one-page or 5-to-8-page site on WordPress, with your logo and your words. The price is reached by removing custom design, copywriting, photos and edit rounds, and by charging for domain, hosting and maintenance after the first year. It fits a business that needs a presence. It rarely fits one that needs enquiries.
Package details below are from each company's own pages, checked 17 October 2026. Prices exclude GST unless stated.
What does a low-cost website include in Singapore?
| Source | Price | What the page states |
|---|---|---|
| Innomedia | From S$699 | Essentials for a business presence; extra pages, e-commerce and custom features quoted separately |
| SG Web Builder | S$899 | 1 landing page on WordPress; 1 year free maintenance; pay on delivery |
| SG Web Builder corporate | S$1,499 to S$1,999 | 5 to 8 pages on WordPress; within a month |
| Design Magic | S$97 a month | One-page website subscription with hosting and monthly edits; S$1,164 a year |
| Wix Light | US$17.77 a month, billed yearly | DIY builder; free domain for 1 year; US$213.24 a year |
For comparison, the next tier of published packages starts at S$2,500 for 1 to 5 pages at Singapore Best Web Design and S$3,000 at OOm.
What a S$699 to S$1,999 package typically contains:
- A WordPress theme set up with your logo and colours.
- 1 to 8 pages, with extra pages charged per page.
- A contact form that sends an email.
- Mobile layout from the theme.
- First-year domain and hosting, sometimes.
- A short maintenance period, from 15 days to 12 months.
Why do some agencies charge less?
A low price is not a discount. It is a different scope. The items removed are the ones that take skilled hours.
- Design. A theme is configured, not drawn. Layout decisions are the theme's defaults.
- Copy. You write the words. Singapore Best Web Design states on its home page that it does not directly provide copywriting and photography. Low-cost packages rarely do either.
- Pages. The headline price covers 1 to 5 pages. Each extra page is a line item.
- Edit rounds. Published packages at higher tiers state 2 to 3 rounds. Cheap packages often do not state a number, which in practice means few.
- Testing. Phone, tablet and desktop checks across browsers take time that a template job skips.
- Strategy. No research into what your buyers search for, so the pages describe you rather than answer them.
None of this is hidden. It is in the package list, as absences.
Which costs appear after launch?
The build price is the first bill. These follow.
| Item | Published example |
|---|---|
| Domain and hosting renewal | Awebstar values its first-year domain and hosting at S$600 to S$900 a year, free in year one |

| Platform subscription | Design Magic one-page site S$97 a month; Wix Light US$213.24 a year |

| Per-user fee if hosted email is not included | |
| GST | 9% on agency invoices from GST-registered suppliers, per IRAS/basics-of-gst/current-gst-rates) |
Estimate for a S$899 site over 3 years, with S$600 a year hosting and domain from year two and 4 maintenance sessions a year at S$80: about S$3,059. The headline price was 29% of the total.

Who owns the domain and code on a cheap package?
Ask three questions before paying.
- Domain. Confirm it is registered in your company's name, in an account you can log in to. If the agency registers it, you depend on the agency to renew or transfer it.
- Hosting. Confirm whether the hosting account is yours or the agency's. If it is the agency's, moving the site later means asking for a copy.
- Code. On WordPress, the files and database can be exported. On DIY builders they cannot. Wix states in its help centre that a Wix site must be hosted on Wix's servers.
SG Web Builder labels WooCommerce as "Full Ownership" and Shopify as "Subscription-Based" on its e-commerce page. That distinction applies to brochure sites too: a platform you rent is not a site you own.
When is a low-cost site the right choice?
A S$699 to S$1,999 site is the right call when all of these are true.
- You need to exist online for credibility, not to generate enquiries from search.
- You can write the copy and supply photos.
- The site will not change much for 1 to 2 years.
- You accept a template layout.
- You have checked who owns the domain and hosting.
It is the wrong call when the website is meant to produce leads. Then the missing items, specific copy, pages that answer searches, a form that stores enquiries and fast load times, are the items that produce them. A middle option is a fixed-price custom site with no monthly fees, where the 3-year total is close to a cheap package plus its renewals.

What cense does
cense builds a custom website for one quote given in full before work starts, with copy written from one call and up to 20 rounds of edits. The client owns the domain, code, hosting and data, and pays S$0 monthly maintenance. See web design in Singapore.
How cheap can a website be in Singapore?+
Published agency packages start at S$699 and S$899. A one-page site is also sold at S$97 a month, and DIY builders start at about US$17.77 a month on yearly billing.
What is cut to reach a low price?+
Pages, custom design, copywriting, photos and edit rounds. Low-cost packages usually use a template, expect you to supply the words and quote extra pages separately.
What fees appear after a cheap website launches?+
Domain and hosting renewal after the free first year, email, plugin or theme licences, and maintenance billed by the hour or by the month.
Do I own a cheap website?+
You own the content and usually the domain. On DIY builders the site cannot be moved off the platform. On agency packages, ask whether the domain and hosting are in your name.
When is a low-cost website the right choice?+
When you need a presence more than enquiries, you can write the copy yourself and the site is unlikely to change for a year or two.
