What does Squarespace export?+
Layout pages, one blog with its posts, text and image blocks, as a WordPress XML file. Products, index and cover pages, video and audio blocks, drafts and custom CSS do not export.
Can we move a Squarespace store?+
Yes. Products export as CSV. The store is rebuilt with Stripe and PayNow, or on Shopify if the catalogue needs it.
Can we keep a domain registered at Squarespace?+
Yes. Point its website records to the new site, or transfer it out once it has been with Squarespace for 60 days.
Will the blog keep its addresses?+
Yes. Each post keeps its address or gets a one-to-one redirect, so links and rankings carry over.
What does the migration cost?+
Quoted in full before we start, after the Day 0 call. There is no monthly maintenance fee afterwards.
Who owns the new website?+
You do: the domain, the code, the hosting account and the database.
