Common questions · leaving Wix
Can a Wix website be exported?+
No. Wix states that sites built on Wix cannot be exported to another host. Contacts and store products export as CSV; pages and blog posts are rebuilt.
Will we lose Google rankings when we leave Wix?+
Not if every address is kept or redirected and the content stays at least as good. We map every URL before launch and measure rankings at 30 and 90 days.
Can we keep our domain bought through Wix?+
Yes. It can stay registered at Wix with the website records pointed to the new site, or transfer out once the 60-day ICANN lock has passed.
Is a custom site better for ChatGPT and AI search than Wix?+
A custom site gives us full control of the text, structured data and speed that AI answer engines read. Wix limits what can be changed.
What does the migration cost?+
Quoted in full before we start, after the Day 0 call. There is no monthly maintenance fee afterwards.
Who owns the new website?+
